Yes, your Nathan J. O'Quinn enrolled on May 23, 1861 in McKittrick's Denton Rangers, a militia in Denton County, TX. ..I will make this correction in my 134-page Name Index. ..Please send me vital data: i.e., his birth year, birth county, marriage data and number of children.

Oquin, Nathaniel J. [McKittrick’s Denton Rangers, Denton County, TST]:
Enlisted 1 Jul 62 in IT by L.E. Gillette for 2 yrs. Chief Bugler in CPT Gillette’s Co, Indep. Tx Rangers. Died at Scullyville of small pox 18 Nov 62. There is due him pay for 4 mos & 18 days, plus clothing allowance. Desc. roll info: age 21, blue eyes, dark hair, fair complexion, 5’10” tall, born in MO and a farmer.
