1st Co. I, 1st Choctaw & Chickasaw Mtd Rifles

Ken Martin,

Thank you for pointing out the website where we can find the muster of the 1st Choctaw & Chickasaw Mtd Rifles, Co I, commanded by Capt. Otis G. Welch, that enrolled in June 1861 at Fort Arbuckle.

I will compare this "Co I" listing with McKittrick's Denton Rangers, but presently I am comparing the listing of said McKittrick's Denton Rangers with the information on the following "Wells - Scandland" web page.

Yeah! .Just think, we now have four listings to compare, including the "Wells/Good/Scandland/Gillette" CSA military unit's/units' listing. ..It will take a few days, but we will have made substantial progress in making sense of these fragmented records.

I will carefully compare these four listings, because I want to make sure that my 134-page Name Index includes all of the corrections that may surface.
