Thanks Robert. That's interesting that was included. The 2nd Cherokee Mtd Rifles is Watie's 1st Regiment -- what we commonly call the 1st Cherokee Mounted Volunteers. 1st Cherokee Mtd Rifles is, of course, Drew's Regiment.

At the time of Wilson's Creek, Watie's 1st Regiment didn't exist yet. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I have the timing wrong). Watie was authorized by McCulloch to raise a battalion for defense of the Cherokee northern border and the Neutral Lands from jayhawking or Federal invasion. It does support the idea that there were more than a couple of Cherokee at Wilson's Creek.
