The annual Honey Springs Memorial Service will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, 14th July 2007. For the past four years, the service has been conducted under a big tent across the road from the temporary visitors' center. The program is as follows:

Donation to Friends' "Land Acquisition Fund"

Program - "Civil War Bugle Calls" (Cody Jolliff)

Cannon Salute (Howell's Texas Battery, C.S.A.)

Rifle Volleys (1st Kansas Colored Volunteers, 2nd Colorado Volunteer Infantry, 10th Kansas Infantry, Other reenactors)

"Taps" (Cody Jolliff)

Retirement of Colors (TMR joint color guard)

After the 30 minute program, the Friends of Honey Springs Battlefield serve a free luncheon, followed by the Friends' business meetings.
