sis of Chilly McIntosh; Honey Springs Battlefield

McIntosh researchers:

I thought some of you would be interested in a well-researched article by Charles Steger of Atlanta, Cass County, Texas, so I put it on my web site ... well, I tried to put it on my web site. ..This 21-page article features 65 detailed endnotes and a 4-page index.

Charles said that Rebecca McIntosh Hawkins Hagerty spent a substantial part of her life in three Texas courthouses since her name dominates the records. ..Also, part of this family was buried on the Honey Springs Battlefield. ..Charles has beautifully coordinated his McIntosh family history, research in Texas counties, and the results of archaeological digs to correct secondary sources.

First lady Ladybird Johnson's father bought the Phoenix Plantation, so this article may interest Taylor researchers as well as casual historians.
