For some reason Cabin Creek's participants and spectators were down this year. Three years ago it was much bigger.

We have been to events that were smaller than this one and events much, much larger.

We try to make every event in OK and AR within a 6-8 hour drive. We learned that there was an event in Ft Towson weekend before last that we would have attended if we had known.

We go to Pleasant Hill LA, Jefferson TX, Old Washington AR, Bentonville AR, Prairie Grove AR, and other smaller ones in AR, Atoka OK, Honey Springs OK, Yale OK, Tribbey OK and Cabin Creek. We have been to Perryville OK but they are discontinuing that one for non participation and also Talequah that has been cancelled this year. We have not yet been to one in MO but I would like to. We have visited many battlefields on our vacation trips.

The National events are too intimidating for me because I get nervous around that many people, so we don't attend those. My husband always complains but I just can't handle it.
