Below are two links to download the Muster Out Rolls Co G, 3rd IHG, transcribed from Capt Maxwell Phillips' day book by Terry Justice. (Thanks Terry!)
The file is available in two formats.
The first version is an Adobe Acrobat file (pdf format). This is a text-based pdf file so you can search for and cut & paste text from the file. Of course, you need Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded for free from Adobe and many other sites on the internet.

The second version is in Microsoft Word (Office 2003) format. If you don't have Word, you'll of course need a software that can read Word files. I believe Microsoft's Internet Explorer will display Word documents but I can't speak for Netscape or other browsers.

The day book contains other data and correspondence including Capt Phillips' letters complaining that goverment contractors were jayhawking cattle in the Cherokee Nation that belonged to his men and selling them at Ft Scott. He visited Ft Scott and found brands belonging to his men on cattle there. His reports and correspondence also indicate the arms and equipment of the company.
