I suspect you could be right, but I would mention that in the Wagon Boss account his team was there when the attack happened and later stated that they were not aware that any attack was going on. The point is that the hay camp area was a very big area, and could very easliely have taken place at any point along the Texas Road. I have never heard of any artifacts being found in the general location you believe it to have been fought in. But once again it is a large area. I personally think it had to be closer to the river to account for the revine that they used for their defensive position. that position would have been closer to the river than were they had been engaged in haying.
