Gilcrease Institute/circulars

For those unfamiliar with Gilcrease, they have an excellent research library (call, for an appointment). If
you will find a copy of, OKLAHOMA IMPRINTS, you will note that the library holds several circulars, published at Fort Gibson. Although, just a handful, it points out that even Fort Gibson had to be run by paperwork. There are also several Confederate circulars, if memory serves me.

While on the subject of circulars and printed material, I did go last summer to the UA special collections in the library and look up microfilmed material related to the war in the IT. It was microfilmed records of captured material, now in the SHS of Wisconsin, relating to the Weir Expedition. Mostly clerical-realting to cattle and other property. Too mundane and incomplete to be of much use to researchers. Thought I save the next person a trip!
The Gilcrease holdings are definitely worth looking at.
