I can tell you the connection to the Hawkins and McIntosh
it goes back to Ala and the killing of "Chief" William McIntosh as Sam Hawkins and Jane McIntosh (Dau of 'Chief" William)look to be the start of this family I don't all all the children but a son- "Pink" Hawkin B.1816 Bio is in Leaders and Leading men pg 171- he was in Chilly McIntosh Creek's (Lt. Col.)It looks like he has Pro term Gov. during the war. Any way the Hawkins are someway a Kissing cousin? unknown?
