Seeking a death date and place of burial for George C. McGehee. George C. McGehee enrolled 4/29/61 at George’s Store in Lincon County, TN in Company H of the First Tennessee (Turney's) Regiment. He was shown as present at the surrender at Appomattox. George C. McGehee was shown on the 1880 Lincoln County, TN census. By 1900 he was shown in the OK census in Township #3 District 124 Chickasaw Nation with wife Minerva (born 11/1844) - married 34 years- and children John K. (born 8/1881), and Clifton N. (born 12/1884). The 1910 OK census showed John K. McGehee in Burnett Township of Pottamattomie County. A brother, Robert L. McGehee. died in Tishomingo in 1891. Was hoping the 1900 address would show where George might have died and been buried.
