Re: Confederate Veterans, 1894 photo, Altus, now O

It looks like the man standing on the far left in front of the drum was one of the Kimberlin brothers. Julian N. Kimberlin (1848-1932) lived in Altus in 1910 and in Willabarger Co., TX in 1900. I'll Email the picture of the 4 brothers - though this guy looks more like Julian's older brother, Richard Samuel Kimberlin (1843-1932) who lived in Hopkins Co., TX in the late 1800's. They were all born in KY and had moved down to Jackson Co., MO in the late 1850's. The other brothers were Isaiah Jefferson Kimberlin (1838-1914) who lived in Grayson Co., TX in 1910, William Grant Kimberlin (1842-1927) who lived in the Chickasaw Nation in 1900 and Garvin Co., OK in 1920 and Robert Kemper Kimberlin (1845-1930)who lived in Hopkins Co., TX in 1880 and Cleveland Co., OK in 1920. The older brothers served in the 12th MO Cav. and the youngest, Julian, seems to have joined them for Price's Raid in 1864 although there are no records to support this.
