My ancestor is Eli Branic. He voluteered for Company C, 2 Cherokee Mounted Volunteers. He was a private and his card # is 51866918.

His granddaughter till the day she died claimed to be Osage.

I am very interested in information on Eli Branic.His brother Elias Brannick fought for the North, Arkansas volunteers.

Sadly their father Henry Brannock was bushwacked in 1864 while his son's were off fighting. Sad story that one.

Eli Branic died in September 1905 in Hiawatha Kansas.
