Charla, I checked the book Leaders and Leading Men by H.S. O'Briene and found listed pg 700 A.H.Nail who married a Cherokee in Tn.(Delilah Hamilton full cherokee)he moved to I.T.BY 1844 (8 children).He had a son name John who married a chickasaw M Robinson had a large farm.
There is also a A.I.Nail pg 679 ? I think there was place
near the stage line called Nail's crossing? in O.H.S.
It possiblely Choctaw also if they lived in the Choctaw Nation and had a stage crossing permit/?
you should be able to find this book or refer;
