Actually, Jesse Chisholm and John S "Cow John" Chisum are related, although distantly. Both Jesse and John are descendants of Richard Cheesome and Margaret Isham, as am I. The Cheesomes immigrated from Scotland, and various branches and generations of the family used different spellings - Cheesome, Chisholm, Chisum, Chisam.
