No, I don't believe that is the same unit. D.G. Boone of Bell County, Texas left the Reserve Corps in late 1864 or early 1865 and joined Captain Shannon's Company in Stand Watie's Brigade. I was trying to determine why someone from Central Texas would join an Indian unit so late in the war considering there was some kind of prohibition against it.
