I see William H. Payne in the 1st Choctaw & Chickasaw Mtd Rifles but not Hendricks or Barnes. How do you connect them with this regiment?

Sgt. William H. Payne was in Company I, first organization, and enrolled June 2, 1861 at Ft Arbuckle, Chickasaw Nation for one year. He was age 20.

Apparently you know at the end of their 12 month enlistment this company became Co. E, 29th TX Cav.

Hendricks and Barnes were in Co. G of the 29th TX Cav.
