I am trying to find material written about the first battle of Cabin Creek. I have a copy of Anne Cubage's article from the Chronicles of Oklahoma, and I have tracked down the usual O.R. reports. But are there any good written overviews of the battle? I assumed that Blue & Gray magazine or some other more recent publication would have an article, but I have not found anything yet. I plan to get a copy of Steve Warren's book about the second battle at Cabin Creek and perhaps this has some information about the first. In any case, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
