Hi Danny. I've wondered about a connection as well but never looked into it much. It can be difficult since various rolls of Cherokee don't include ages prior to the 1880 census. However, the Drennan Roll and Old Settlers Rolls of the early 1850s give names of all family members and these can sometimes be traced through the rosters and/or to the 1880 census if they survived. I don't think these rolls are online so I'll have to check my hardcopies at home.
