Who knew? Even Wikipedia cites John Henry Kagi (1835-1859). The Swiss name, Kagi, makes more sense than the rabbit trails that I followed. The article in the July 1925 OHIO HISTORY, v34n3pp263-291 and 422-425, is worth reading.
