1871, 1898 BLM survey maps, OK counties

In the past two days, I've received six e-mails with questions about my survey abstractions of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management surveys found on my web pages linked to:
.
http://www.bourlandcivilwar.com/BLMsurveys.htm
.
It occurred to me that I should post my "recipe" so researchers can look at the records themselves.**
.
1) http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/SurveySearch/
.
2) select the county to see the township and range numbers and directions
.
3) go back to Survey Search and type in the township and range number and direction
.
4) Plat Image
.
5) JavaScript Viewer, so you can scoot (drag) cursor throughout the Township of 36 sections.
.
6) 25% or 50%, depending upon your vision.
.
On my desk, I keep a 136-page map, THE ROADS OF OKLAHOMA (1997), that shows the township, range, and section numbers. And yes, in my book, I have dozens of legal descriptions. In fact, if I don't have a legal description, you know that I'm striving to find the exact location.
.
** My computer guy gives me "recipes" to follow ... that I may never understand, but I have a written procedure.
