Don, It appears to me that there are a few "mix ups" in the obit. It states he moved to CA after the war. However, he served in the 2 CA Inf in 1865-66. So he was apparently there during the war in order to enlist. It states that after the war he served as a scout, etc. So that would not be entered in the SUVCW database except in the "Miscellaneous" comments section.

Go ahead and enter him into the database with the info you have. If you discover additional info, feel free to send that to me for updating in the database.
