I hope this post reaches you. George Marion O'Quin is my great great great
great grandfather. Recently I have been trying to put together all the puzzle
pieces as to where exactly we came from. George Marion would be the reason my
branch of the O'Quins is in TX. I do know that George Marion is the son of
Edmond O'Quin and was born in Lincoln County Tenn. Edmond died and George
moved to MO with his mother and brothers and sister. I know that George and
his brother Joseph enlisted in the 24 MO Vol infantry and after the war George
moved to the North Brown Farming Community near present day Goldthwaite, TX
where he lived the remainder of his life and raised his family. I have been to
the site of the North Brown Community and the cemetery to which he helped
found and was buried. I have lots of questions and would love some information
to all the missing puzzle pieces. I hope this reaches you.
