prisoner H.B. Grogan, 1st Cherokee Mtd Volunteers
.
GROGAN, H. B. Grogan; arrested 1865 Wise Co TX (Cherokee Mtd Vol's, IT CSA), 314
.
.... maybe the Henry Grogan, Grogen, b-1827 GA; m-Ann M.; 1860 Wood Co TX cen p366; Likens' 35th TX Cav, Co B ... problem is that no other prisoners in this batch were from Likens' 35th Cav. ... also most recruits for this Co B of the 35th TX Cav. were from Rusk Co TX.
.
Who was this H. B. Grogan? ..A note in the handwritten April 1865 records implies that this H.B. Grogan, Grogran, was "in Stand Watie's Regt." See the handwritten facsimile on:

I would appreciate your glancing through this listing of 107 prisoners on the off-chance that you can help identify some of these soldiers. ..And yes, most were from Confederate military units, esp. DeMorse's 29th TX Cavalry.
