The only thing I could find on the 30th Tex Cav was that they were at Camp Middle Boggy, C.N. From unit info card July & August 1863.
Accompanied 2 squadrons of 30th Tex Cav on scout from Bankhead under command of Major Davenport to Limestone Gap Choctaw Nation, distance about ninety miles. Started on July 23,1863. Stayed on same route with 2nd Bridage, 1st Division Army of Texas, To reinforce Gen Steele. From Camp Bankhead on the 23 day of August. Arrived at this Camp Middle Boggy Aug 29,1863. W.H.
