I am brand new to this site and after reading several posts, I decided I would like to be a part of your group. I hope I can contribute, but think I have more questions than contributions. Here is one contribution however. Frank Conseen was my gg grandfather. He lived in the Locust Grove area of Oklahoma. His father was Dave Conseen and said to have died of small pox circa 1862. I found them on the Confederate side first, then on the Union side in the Kansas Indian Home Guards. This is from the University of Oklahoma Digital Collections. That is where the Indian-Pioneer Papers are found. Donna
