Very interesting to know about all the Beams that were in the unit. I'll pass this info along to my friend who is doing the search. I am hoping that we can connect to Isam. I guess he would be the one. My mother is looking for more letters that may provide what we need to make the connection. I do remember many years ago my great-great grandma mentioning that some of the family fought for the south. I don't know if they were a Holloway or Beams. I should have followed up on that earlier.
