Conrad (b-1842 IN; 1860 Cooke Co TX cen p199) of "Humphreys' Squad" is mentioned, along with "Rutherford's Company," in a Sept 5, 1864 cover letter from the Acting Commissary of Subsistence at Camp Burns in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas, that reads: "To meet the increasing demands of this depot for foodstuff, it is absolutely necessary to have men detailed to meet these tasks and I specifically ask that this listing be detailed for that purpose." per Bourland's Regiment records in National Archives microfilms M-323-189 and M-323-190.
