Does anyone know of any raids, officially sanctioned or not, by the CSA Indians, on the Plains, the Santa Fe Trail or the Platte? Eugene Ware ( Yank cavalryman serving on the Platte) and others cite anecdotal evidence of them raiding wagon trains with Plains Indians , wearing grey uniforms, having Enfield rifles, cursing in English, etc. Anybody know of any accounts?
