I may be muddying the waters somwhat on the Foreman Question. Once Ken pointed out the John Foreman of 10th Kansas I recalled his back ground and circumstances. But We have three Foremans in Drew's Regiment that deserted over to the Union side, one, 25 year old Alexander Foreman of Company C rings of family. Then from what I know there is Arch Foreman, Company G, age 18, and George Foreman Company H, age 19. John Foreman proved to be a very agressive and brave soldier in his years in the I.T. What motivated him?
