Modern Stonewall was not a settlement during the war. Its original location was what is now known as Frisco. I'm assuming her ancestor was a Confederate. Adair may have been camped in this vicinity and also Quantrill. Phillips' Feb 1864 Expedition came this way from Ft Gibson. Major Foreman of the 3rd IHG warned there was a good road for the Confederates to use to get to Kansas or to by-pass Ft Gibson en route to Missouri. Knowing her ancestor's unit might be helpful. I'm not aware of any fighting in this area after the Feb 1864 Expedition.
