Re: Roster for 30th Texas Cavalry
Patti & Mike Thanks for your replies. It is my understanding that seven of the twelve Logan brothers of Coryell Co. TX, sons of Hillary and Abigail Logan joined the CSA in Texas. James M. Logan, William H. Logan, and David T. Logan served in the 30th TX Cav. Wyatt L. Logan, Robert S. Logan, Joel H. Logan, and Jasper N. Logan served with the 10th TX Inf. Wyatt died of pneumonia in Virginia May 2, 1863. Robert was taken prisoner at Arkansas Post and died at a prisoner of war camp in Chicago, Camp Douglas, on May 4, 1863. Jasper was wounded at Franklin, TN Nov 30, 1864. Joel was wounded at Jonesboro Sept 1, 1864 when Sherman's forces left Atlanta. I am interested in any personal papers, letters, journals, and the like that might shed light on the lives of these men, and especially of those of the 30th TX Cav. Thanks so much for your help. Wayne
