Confederate Home, McAlester, OK

I am researching Confederate Veteran John Thomas Bazar who served in Company D, 12th Louisiana Infantry. Several cards in his Compiled Military Service Records relate to correspondence with the President, Trustees of the Confederate Home in McAlester, Oklahoma in 1915. Bazar applied for a Confederate pension (in Oklahoma, I thought) which was granted in 1919. He died 31 OCT 1920. I have assumed that he was buried near the Confederate Home, but that may not be the case.

Searching online, I can only find mention of the Oklahoma Confederate Home in Ardmore which is several counties over.

What am I missing? Was there a Confederate Home in McAlester, or did the President of the Trustees just live there?

Any help will be appreciated!!
