Terry Justice has transcribed these letters from the Peter Wellington Alexander Collection owned by Columbia University in NYC. Terry sent me copies of his copies from microfilm and they are very difficult to read -- mostly due to the handwriting. I intend to go through and see if I can help decipher the more difficult words but didn't want that to hold up making this accessible to everyone on the message board. As time allows, I'll work with Terry on edits and will add some annotations to the text.
