There has been some discusion of Camp Garland on this board in the past. Use the search link at the top of the main page. Search the archives too -- I don't recall how long it's been. I have copies of letters a Texas soldier wrote from there. He said he could see the Red River from camp. As I recall, it was about two miles west of the Line Road that ran along. the western border of Arkansas to Laynesport. This was not a permanent camp but was apparently a good location as it was used multiple times. Must have had good water and grass for the horses.

Coincidentally, I'm not too far from there now. Spent the weekend in a nice cabin near Hochatown.
