Re: Non-Indian Units in Indian Territory

I am always interested in information with regards to Howell's battery. I may already have it however.
Are you talking about the signed letter to the company doctor recommending his good service to the company?
I have also the micro files from the nation archives. If this is something differnt would like to see it and compare names.

I have decided to take another look at the Battery and see what else I can find about them and then re-edit my book
or update it with any new information. I am also thinking about including the little information I have on Lee's Artillery the other artillery company that served the south in the Indian Nations. It was Lee's battery that fought at Honey Springs, Howell's at that time had not yet been able to replace it's guns captured at Fort Wayne.

I also have a roster of Lee's battery but not much else on them.

while I am at it, I have a reference to a battle or engagment known as either Old Ferry or Old Terry it is really hard to tell which. It was listed as a battle that Howell's battery was in.
