Michael H. Campbell (b. c1838-d. between Jun 18, 1864 and Jun 2, 1865 surrender), reported Oct. 1863 as Major to Lt-Col. Lemuel M. Reynolds' Battn, the Chickasaw battalion at Fort Arbuckle. He drowned in the rising Washita River after visiting Henry Colbert who warned him to take a different route to visit his wife, Adelaide B. Courtney (Johnson) Campbell� (1841-1933, m,1-1859) on Caddo Creek near now Fox, Carter County OK. Adelaide, m,2-1871 to James Henry Bond. per Johnson's THE CHICKASAW RANCHER, p25. Capt & A.A.C.S. of CS Army signed requisition for beef supplied by Ben F. Savage in the Confederate Citizens' file that has 18 cards.

Savage of Whitesboro, Grayson Co TX, had a contract with the Confederate War Dept. to furnish beef to Fort Arbuckle in the Chickasha Nation I.T.; they were paid in Confederate money." per feature "Benjamin Savage," SOUVENIR OF TEXAS and Neil Johnson's CHICKASAW RANCHER, p23.. ...Mary Savage, m-1867 Grayson Co TX to Charles Granville Graham (served 46 months in Stevens' 22d Cav-1st Indian TX Regt, CSA). Mary was dau of S.B. Savage. From your editor's Graham family history.
