Here are some notes, mostly from memory, about various flags:

(1) The Choctaw Flag at OHS was carried by one of the Folsom regiments, but I don't know which one. This was told to me by the late Muriel H. Wright, when she was telling me about creating the "Fourteen Flags over Oklahoma" exhibit for the NY World's Fair.

(2) Lucinda Davis, in the Ex-Slave Interviews, talks about the battle at Honey Springs; in her telling of the approaching troops, she said, ". . . you could tell they was Indians by the way they was riding the ponies. They was carrying a big red blanket with a criss-cross on it, like a saw-horse . . ."
