CSA Indian Agent S.S. Scott; vital data ?

Greg James,
.
Thank you for "S.S. Scott, CSA Indian Agent" info. Armed with your input, I found, with my limited "Google-search skills" the following for my Name Index. I think this is enough info for the reader to sort of understand his background when he wrote the letters presented in the OFFICIAL RECORD. ... I have a "Samuel Sydney Scott," buied in the Sweet Box Cem along with some of my Scott-Bourlands, who served in Maxey's 9th Infantry.
.
I wonder what happened to the handwritten letters that S.S. Scott received from the field. I am interested in the Oct 1862 Tonkawa Massacre ... I think I have all, yes all, of the contemporaneous documentation about the Tonkawa Massacre.

Apology. I just read my "S.S. Scott" query. I don't expect anyone to forgive my slaughtering the English language, but I beg them to try to understand that I answer e-mails, including postings, at the end of my day ... and sometimes my days are very LONG. I am working night and day on preparing the next edition to my book which is like reversing the direction of a battleship.
.
Current project: I have been trying for years to find each entry (of 39,900 entries) in my Name Index in a second source. Since my 1st edition which was from handwritten records, I am finding transcription errors, most of which are an initial in a name, but I cannot be sure of any name until I find them in a second source, that I add to that entry in my Name Index.
.
e.g. I had "Minton, James H. in a Fannin Co militia" ... so I look at my originals -- stacks strewn over my living room -- and yes, it looks like "Minton," but found a "James H.P. Hinton as a Sgt in a Hunt Co militia." (This is easy, but "Pierce, Pearce, Piercy, Pearcy, Percy, Pearson, Pierson" is a nightmare.) Multiply that effort by five thousand, and you will get an idea of what I do all day, every day, until I drop.
.
Where a soldier dies, or what he did after the War is interesting, but I think death info is incidental when outlining families, which requires concentrating on marriages and births, not deaths.
.
All in a day's work. Thanks for the help. ... I wrote this a couple of days ago.
