Lt. Col. Simpson Folsom--vital records

Bruce Allardice,
.
I would be happy to scan the 16 pages with FOLSOM entries for you, but there is only one entry for Sampson N. Folsom or Simpson Folsom. There is an entry for "Sim Folsom, Choctaw, voted at Iron Bridge in San Bois County in 1897"
.
It appears that these are the same gent.
.
1st [S. Folsom’s] Choctaw Cavalry Regiment
2nd [S.N. Folsom’s] Choctaw Cavalry Regiment
.
The 1st Choctaw Cavalry Regt must have become part of the 1st Choctaw & Chickasaw Battn. See the Oct 1864 and Dec 1864 organization charts below. This is above my pay grade.

I'd bet Martini's book is the most comprhensive listing of this Folsom family available. Years ago I corresponed with a lady who helped Martini scour original records when he was compiling this book. By the way, several heled Martini just because they wanted these records published. Help is defined as working hundreds of hours. ... Believe me, compiling a book from original records is very hard work.
