Lt. Col. Simpson Folsom--vital records

Mike,
.
I wanted Bruce Allardice to have what I think are transcriptions of the original records. ... no tall tales, just facts.
.
All, repeat, all of the info in Martini's WHO WAS WHO IN INDIAN TERRITORY book is transcribed from handwritten original records. ..He and his cohorts were not just copying the research of others, because so much of the Indian family history was based on hear-say. ..This book has very small type printed on both sides of the page and weighs several pounds.
.
Plus I knew, and trusted, one of its major contributors.
.
The next, my 6th edition, will be compiled from 90+ percent handwritten records. It is unfair to compare my study with 300-page "stream of consciousness" books. .... I will substitute some of the Fort Arbuckle and Fort Cobb OFFICIAL RECORD info with a much larger Name Index since it has expanded from 122 pages to over 200+ pages at this point. Name Index difference: i have worked for years on documenting each soldier in a second source ... much harder than it sounds.
.
Back to Martini. Martini's work is analogous to Ken Kamper's DANIEL BOONE newsletter that he published years ago because he was sick of reading versions of stories based on hear-say. ..Therefore, we Boone researchers can depend on the accuracy of his work. ..Unfortunately, my Boone line is not THE Daniel line, but my Boones were nearby for 150 yrs which taunted me to subscribe to three Boone newsletters for years before Ken came along. ... I haven't worked on my Boone line for years, but what I have, that is not worth a bucket of warm spit, is posted at the bottom of my web page.

.
I included the above web page on the off chance that someone thinks that I have Boone-line answers. ..I don't. ..Half of my ancestors were in places before counties or states were established.
.
Sorry to get off topic, but the Texas Genealogical Society states that only "one-eighth" (12.5 percent) of the family history stuff on the Internet is CORRECT. ... My generation -- Sputnik was launched in my 9th-grade yr -- aspired to get PhDs in math and science. True, most of us fumbled along the way, but we are dismayed, and yes, embarrassed, that our kids do not care about science nor HISTORY. ... Summation, if my generation doesn't write our Oklahoma history, it may not be written. ... That's why I work night and day on developing the outline presented by my book.
