It was William Bohanan Jr. who was son of William Bohanan Sr. and a full blood choctaw wife name unknown. William Bohanan Jr. married Betsey Anderson Bohanan. Betsey and William Jr.'s daughter was Jincy Bohanan Cochran among other children. Jincy's brother Ellis Bohanan was my gr.gr.gr. grandfather. William Bohanan Jr. also was married to Phoebe Anderson Bohanan which happened to be Betsey's sister and they had a son Samuel Bohanan. Samuel married Margaret Woods and they also had a son named William Bohanan. Somewhat confusing till you figure it out. Also Ellis also had a daughter named Jincy also probably named after his sister Jincy Bohanan Cochran. The net proceed case of choctaw claims stated that that Jincy Cochran was one of William Bohanan JR.'s kids. Betsey Bohanan is on the 1855 Choctaw Census with her children. Jincy Cochran is already grown and married and William Bohanan Jr. must be dead for he is not listed.
