Re: The "Canadian" north, south, and otherwise

Well, lessee, I was born in McAlester and grew up in Eufaula and Checotah and climbed all over the hills and swam all the rivers and creeks and we called the South Canadian as the river that ran between Crowder and Eufaula as the South Canadian. The North Canadian was the river that ran between Eufaula and Checotah and the Deep Fork was the river that emptied into the North Canadian somewhere west of Hwy 69 between Eufaula and Checotah. Caught big catfish out of the Deep Fork, they tasted better than the catfish taken out of the North Canadian.
But, what do I know..............................................?
