I am looking for any possible information about the Confederate force stationed at Mud Creek, or Mud Point, near present-day Ardmore. According to Patricia Adkins-Rochette's book, Co. A, Bourland's Border Regt. was stationed there. My ancestor, Lt. R.W. Thompson, was a member of Co. A out of Gainesville. Any info about the camp or camps on Mud Creek would be greatly appreciated!
