Re: COL William Hammond Garrett, CSA

Mr. Purvis - Sorry for the delay in replying. My e-mail is narfs@swbell.net. In my research, I have never run across any reference to COL William H. Garrett's kin moving to AR. His crew did migrate through SC to Cherokee County, MS and settle in and around Centre, Cherokee County, MS. William H. Garrett was named for the Secretary of State of MS, William H. Garrett. His family migrated through PA and down into MS but was not related. I will go back and read back up on my Wm. H. Garrett and his siblings and ancestors. If you would like to drop me a note at my home email, I will pass along the tree off the ITCWB with several references I have utilized. Best, Greg
