In 1905 Theodore Roosevelt visited his Rough Rider buddy, Jack Catch-em-alive Abernathy. Roosevelt brought a video
camera crew to film Jack catching a wolf with his bare hands, which was the first video of an Oklahoma [Territory] event. They were accompanied by Quannah Parker, Burk Burnett, and other politicans.

The “1905 Wolf Hunt” re-creation will be held on Saturday April 10th, 2010 in Frederick, OK sponsored by the Tillman County Historical Society. The FREDERICK-LEADER newspaper details the planned activities.
