Every sentence in this book is from primary sources. Fabulous. I read with a red pencil in hand, so by now his book has varying shades of red scribbles all over.
.
This book is the result of Earl's lifetime of studying the Indians of Texas and Oklahoma, and especially all of the bands of the Wichitas. Find Earl's resume and other published works can easily be found on the Internet.
.
Earl's scholarly research is beautifully presented in an easy-to-read book, i.e., larger print on blue-white paper. (my book is printed on blue-white paper)... Lately, reading some of my books requires special lighting as well as a magnifying glass, etc.
.
I first met Earl via e-mail. He saw my book and sent me an e-mail to tell me that he was sending materials. Turns out the book he sent about Oklahoma Indians was rather rare and very relevant to my study. He didn't have to do that. Most would have kept such a rare book in their personal library. Then I was at a luncheon in Texas where he was introduced to speak a minute or so, then I was introduced, so I had a chance to publically thank him for his thoughtfulness. Yes, he is the definition of a scholar and a gentleman.
