I know that "Capt. James McIntosh" was at Fort Arbuckle in Feb 1859 because he is listed in Lt. David S. Stanley's Co D, 1st U.S. Cavalry from Oct 12, 1858 until after Feb 1859 on pp122, 243, 131 in Dennis Muncrief's HISTORY OF FT. ARBUCKLE. Dennis references "Feb 1859 post returns." ..Dennis may have seen the original post returns, because I interviewed a gent who said as a kid, he and the friend he was visiting in he Ft. Arbuckle area, would look at the original Ft. Arbuckle post returns.
