I have some from a book on bio-- William L Moncrief-the son of Sampson Moncrief & Sophia Brashears
B.abt April , 20,1820-Sumter Co. Ala.--- Died 15 Feb 1872--buried in Moncrief Cem. near Ninnekah, Grady Co. Ok.--First said -person buried there.
Married Margaret 'Mahala' Hall B. 6 Oct 1820 died 1915 D/o-William Hall and Susan Riddle
she is buried by William at the Moncrief Cem.

----Rush Springs Ok -news clipping--1915-Feb 13--In book

In 1834,she with her father, William Hall moved to what is now Le Flore Co Okla. 5 years later she married
William L Moncrief. The newly couple, two years later moved to Ft Arbuckle to assist in the establishment of the Fort. And in 1870 moved to a farm on the Washita river abt 7 miles S/E of Chickasha--about this time a stage coach line was placed in operation from--Caddo to Anadarko--following the death of her husband, Mrs Moncrief supported her 5 sons and 6 Dau by conducting eating houses along this route.
The phrase--"The Widow Moncief Places" became familiar--phrase amoung Okla. women during a early day.
