Re: Chris Columbus Colbert, 1st Choctaw-Chickasaw

I'M Not much help on this line found the same-thing you did--James Colbert Co. E Pvt./1st Chickasaw & Choctaw-b. 1833-1884.likely brother of Christopher Columbus Colbert-no records

Mother- Caroline Moore--No connection found to other Moore's-------but very-large family-limited material.

James Moore Co. E Pvt./1st Chickasaw & Choctaw--Son Lyman Moore --His son was Edgar Moore last posted Bio.stated his Great -gf was killed Sampson Moncrief?

Billy Bowland Co.H Pvt./1st Chickasaw & Choctaw

Nothing found CC Colbert or R Bourland--Sorry but I think alot of these records were lost/mis-placed
as you already know--Chickasaw and Choctaw--is messy here.
If you look over his- great -Kerry Armstrongs site-on the Colberts you see why I'm not very much of a expert on this family it sooo-- big--complex--its sad to say Kerry is said to sick/ill--New's chickasaw nation
I only hope he gets well/and his site--stays up along time.
